In this chapbook zine of photographs and poetry, artist Sal Taylor Kydd examines the nature of grief, and the unraveling destabilizing impact it can have on our lives.

The zine is printed as a series of risographs, lending an impressionistic, charcoal softness to the images, further emphasizing the feelings of erasure and dislocation that grieving can bring. In tandem with these images both expansive and intimate, Kydd’s poetry turns a raw gaze internally, challenging and confronting a turbulent inner landscape.

In contrast, through moments of observation of the minutiae of nature, Kydd finds a sense of solace and renewal, so vital in our ability to heal and find acceptance.
